Holy smokes, kids!
I can’t believe this performance on Good Day PA was one week ago! What a fun time performing "Midnight Sun" and getting a chance to talk about my newest record, Vision Hazy.
For anyone who missed the performance on Friday, February 22nd, you can catch it on the link below!
Happy 2019 Folks!
Hope the Year of the Pig is off to a good start for you. I've burned my bayberry candles with the intention of sending good vibes out into the universe.
I wanted to give you a short update.
I've been working on new stuff! Nothing super specific to share yet, but can say I'll be holed up in a studio cutting a single in April. Be on the lookout for a release date.
Also have a few shows already on the books in February. More to come.
Wishing you all the best for this New Year. Thank you for your continued support and sharing the music!
My last show of the year will be this Friday, Nov 16th at The Pharmacy in Point Breeze, Philly.
You should make plans to come. Call the sitter if that's what you need to do. It will be a grand time. :-)
Will be sharing the night with SnugHouse (Portland, ME) and Jesse Gimbel (Phila). $8 at the door, 8pm sharp! https://thepharmacyphilly.org/events/
See you in the pit.
Hope you are hunkered down and safe for Hurricane Florence if you need to get out of town over the next few days.
I have a unique opportunity to do something really cool --- to record a Direct-To-Vinyl Live Session with Leesta Vall Sound Recordings in Bushwick, Brooklyn on Tuesday, Sept 25th!
Leesta Vall Direct-To-Vinyl Live Sessions cut live in real time directly to a 7” lathe cut vinyl record. Think of this as an audio polaroid.
The plan is to record four songs with a couple friends: 2 previously released ("Midnight Sun" and "Bring A Glass"), and 2 unreleased ("Enough" and "The Night Before").
If you love vinyl recordings, and want something truly unique to add to your collection, go to the link below and reserve your copy before September 25th!
This is a ONE-OFF...no mass-production and the 2 unreleased songs will only be available from this session.
Thanks for reading and hope you'll consider your own copy!
Hope you've been well. I've had an extremely busy summer and with it, a new home base in PA.
In case you missed it, I did this fun little Q&A in July with ElectroWOW!
Check out my Upcoming Shows! Tomorrow night, I'll be playing a special set. Lots of catalogue, including several covers in the mix. :-)
Next weekend, I'll be playing the Kipona Festival and PowWow in Harrisburg. My set on Sept 1 starts at 2:30. Visit http://harrisburgpa.gov/kipona/ for all the details.
See you at the shows! Thanks as always for reading about my musical developments and your support.
As you probably know, I made a new video for the title track from my new record. Filmed on the streets of Savannah, GA with my friends at Low Watt.
Hope you dig it! Please share if you feel inclined.
Thanks for your support!
Hope you've had a delightful St. Patrick's Day weekend! I wanted to share some news with you.
First, the title track to "Vision Hazy" will be featured on the upcoming 2018 Singer-Songwriter Cape May compilation disc! Take a look here at all the artists who were nominated. I am excited and eager to be a part of SS Cape May this year!
Speaking of Cape May, I'll be playing 2 late-night sets this week (3/23 at Carney's and 3/24 at The Rusty Nail). My intention is to make both shows completely different sets (no song repeats)! And perhaps test out a newbie if the mood strikes. :-)
Also, the music video for Vision Hazy is in the can! Hoping to share it for your viewing pleasure this Spring!
It's been a quiet, yet busy 2018 so far musically. A few things I'd like to share.
Recently, Vision Hazy got a mention out of the blue on Twitter from Country Fried Rock as a record to check out!
On Jan 23, Vision Hazy also got a spin on DC Music Rocks - a radio program on 96.7 WERA in Arlington, VA during "drive time." Woo hoo!
I'm currently putting the finishing touches on a music video for "Vision Hazy." Really psyched to share that with you when it's ready!
If you're in Alexandria, come out to Four Mile Run Farmers and Artisans Market tomorrow (2/11) between 10-12 noon. 4MR is a wonderful little market on Mt. Vernon Avenue down the street from The Birchmere.
I'm also pleased to be a performer at this year's Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, PA! Go here for all the details.
Will have some more announcements your way soon! Till then, stay cozy.
I received word that between 5-6PM EST TODAY, "Vision Hazy" will be on the radio!!! Woo-hoo! You can tune in to WERA 96.7 FM in Arlington, VA OR stream it live at www.dcmusicrocks.com.
DC Music Rocks will be interviewing Erin and Guido from Turtle Recall. Check them out, they are Fan-tastic. One of my favorite songs by them is "Meet Me in the Dojo." Songs from Bells and Hunters, FeelFree, & Human Country Jukebox will also be on the program! All great local DC area bands you should not miss in action! :-)
That's what I got for now! Happy listening!
Hope you had your cup of kindness and are looking forward to this upcoming year!
I'll be hitting the stage for a few shows in early 2018! If you're in DC, I'll be performing at Gypsy Sally's this Friday, Jan 5 in the Vinyl Lounge, at 8:00 p.m.
Later this weekend, I'll be at one of my favorite spots, the Four Mile Run Farmers and Artisans Market in Alexandria, on January 7th from 10-12 noon. INDOORS!
Stay tuned for more announcements! *cough cough* music video....
